A new state Senate Finance Committee report predicts the shortfall for Virginia’s biennial budget could reach $3.2 billion, rather than the $2.5 billion Gov. Timothy M. Kaine predicted last month.
Members of the House of Delegates’ Appropriations Committee heard similar news earlier this week.
Both agree that all areas of government will face cuts, including Medicaid and public education, which has largely been spared in budget cuts so far.
Kaine will present his budget on Dec. 17.
and we wonder why Mr. Kaine might have been working for Virginia, instead of Obama, over the past 12 months. He has turned Virginia’s surplus into the largest State Deficit in the past 18 years, at least.
Tim, hopefully you will get a LOW level cabinet position for all you _ _ _ kissing. We’ll see how important you were to Mr. Obama, and the fact that you helped him “ WIN “ Va.
