- December 14, 2009
McLean-based SAIC will be added to the S&P 500 Index after trading on Friday.
The move was part of Standard and Poor’s adjustments to its indices. The S&P 500 Index follows companies with market caps above $5 billion. As of Friday, SAIC’s market cap was $7.29 billion.
SAIC, which provides scientific and technology applications to the U.S. government and military, announced in September that it would move its headquarters from San Diego to Tysons Corner.
The company’s net income was up 12.5 percent to $135 million during its third quarter. The company’s revenue grew 5 percent to $5.77 billion.
