SAIC completes acquisition of SET
January 26, 2010 9:57 AMScience Applications International Corp. has completed its purchase of Arlington-based Science, Engineering and Technology Associations Corp. (SET).
The purchase will expand SAIC’s Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities and allow to speed up the creation of sensor-based products. SET, which includes 80 employees, creates technologies such as video and radar systems that detect human behaviors and systems that find patterns in seemingly unrelated data. SET’s CounterBomber product can automatically detect suicide bombers outside the blast radius of a bomb.
SET will be integrated into SAIC’s Technology and Advanced Systems business unit.
