Reed Smith opens Shanghai office

Reed Smith LLP, an international law firm with offices in Richmond and Falls Church, has opened an office in Shanghai, its third branch in China.

Reed Smith’s other offices in China are in Hong Kong and Beijing.

Jay Yan, a New York-licensed lawyer who has been working in Shanghai for 15 years, has joined the firm as the managing partner of the new office. He previously was head of the Dorsey & Whitney LLP Shanghai office.

Reed Smith has more than 1,600 lawyers in 23 offices throughout the United States, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
