Plastic film and bags manufacturer Presto Products Co. plans to add five new manufacturing lines to its operations in Halifax County, creating 22 new jobs.
The company already has 375 employees at the Halifax plant and will spend $6 million on the expansion.
“This facility has grown at an average of $2 million per year over the last four years, and we are grateful for Presto Products’ investment in Halifax County,” Mike Sexton, executive director of the Industrial Development Authority of Halifax County, said in a statement.
The Southern Virginia Higher Education Center worked with regional partners to develop a work-force training program for existing and new employees.
