John L. Lawson II, president and CEO of the W.M. Jordan Co. general contracting firm in Newport News, has purchased a 13-acre manufacturing site and building in the Oyster Point area of Newport News for $7.7 million as an investment.
Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer said in a press release Wednesday that the seller was Muller Martini Corp. The site includes a 153,890-square-foot building that has been leased to Newport News Industrial Corp., a division of Huntington Ingalls. It is the sole tenant of the building, said Dawn F. Griggs, a broker for Thalhimer who negotiated the lease and handled negotiations on behalf of both parties in the sale of the site at 11850 Jefferson Ave.
