O’Neal Flat Rolled Metals opens facility in Lynchburg, creating 13 jobs

O’Neal Flat Rolled Metals has begun operating a coil processing facility in Lynchburg, creating 13 jobs.
The company moved into the former warehouse of a sister company, O’Neal Steel.
From the 135,000-square-foot warehouse, O’Neal Flat Rolled Metals (OFR) will focus on processing and distributing carbon and non-ferrous, light-gauge, flat- rolled metal products.
Based in Brighton, Colo., O’Neal Flat Rolled Metals has nearly 20 locations nationwide that serve customers in a range of industries, including construction, food service, transportation, HVAC, sheet metal fabrication, medical and automotive.
The company is a part of O’Neal Industries, the largest family-owned metals service center in the U.S. with sales of approximately $2.5 billion in 2011.
O’Neal Industries, based in Birmingham, has more than 90 locations in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia.
