Northrop business unit to upgrade Swedish navy’s submarines
March 10, 2010 10:04 AMSperry Marine, a business unit of Northrop Grumman Corp., has won a contract to upgrade the navigation systems of the Swedish navy’s submarines.
Sperry Marine will supply five new MK 39 Mod 3C systems to the navy, with two Gotland-class and two Södermanland-class submarines and a third reserved for training and spare parts. These systems are more advanced and have shock and vibration resistance.
