Mortgage rates follow Treasury rates higher

The 30-year, fixed-rate mortgage averaged 4.6 percent, up from 4.51 percent last week, according to McLean-based Freddie Mac’s weekly survey of mortgage rates. A year ago, the 30-year mortgage was 4.57 percent.
The 15-year, fixed-rate mortgage averaged 3.75 percent, up from 3.69 percent last week. A year ago, the 15-year rate averaged 4.07 percent.
