Merger creates Novetta Solutions

Maryland-based White Oak Technologies Inc. and Reston-based FGM Inc. have merged to create a new technology company.

The new entity, Vienna-based Novetta Solutions, will provide high-end mission critical technology solutions intelligence and defense clients and other organizations working with massive amounts of data.

Peter LaMontagne has joined the company as CEO. He was a leader in CACI’s cyber defense practice. Before that, he was president and CEO of Paradium Holdings and a senior vice president at ManTech International.

Alan Broder, the CEO of White Oak Technologies, has named chairman of Novetta. Scott Gessay, the CEO of FGM, now is president of Novetta.

Novetta’s core capabilities include information exploitation, cyber security, cloud computing and solution engineering. The company has 350 employees.

The deal was announced by Washington, D.C.-based Arlington Capital Partners, a private equity firm. White Oak Technologies is a Arlington portfolio company.
