- December 17, 2009
Fairfax-based defense contractor ManTech International Corp. has been recognized for its support of employees serving in the U.S. National Guard and Reserves.
The Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, which is organized under the Department of Defense to encourage employer support for service in the National Guard and Reserves, gave ManTech the Patriot Award.
ManTech employee Ronald Cameau, an intelligence specialist and member of the U.S. Army Reserves, nominated ManTech for the award.
“I nominated ManTech for this award because they truly understand this relationship and do all they can to make sure their service member employees are taken care of,” Cameau said in a statement.
ManTech has about 170 employees in the National Guard or Reserves. ManTech has previously been recognized for its military-friendly environment. It was named on G.I. Jobs Magazine’s Top 10 Military Friendly Employer list this year.
ManTech offers a recruitment program in connection with the U.S. Army Reserves that allows organizations to recruit and train young people interested in military service and a career in information technology.
