Sterling-based JK Moving Services plans to expand at its existing headquarters location, adding 100,000 square feet of new commercial space and create 130 jobs. The expansion also will add outdoor parking and warehouse to the company’s 27-acre campus.

JK Moving Services started with two employees in 1981. Now, the company has more than 550 full- and part-time employees and about 400,000 square feet of commercial space. It is the third-largest independent mover in the United States.

“JK Moving Services is a pillar in the Loudoun County business community, evidenced by allegiance to its employees, commitment to community service and helping those in need, and dedication to sustainable practices,” stated Scott York, Chairman of the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors.
