Lamborghini opens Washington dealership
June 05, 2008 3:16 PM

Lamborghini sports car enthusiasts in Virginia now have a dealership that caters to their passion. Lamborghini America is holding a grand opening of its Washington dealership, located on Route 28 next to CarMax in the Dulles area.

Allie Ashe is the owner of the 4,500-foot-square dealership, which also includes separate showrooms for Ferraris and Maserattis. He has been selling all three high-end Italian automobiles in the Washington area since 2005 but did not have a dealership building before now. The closest Lamborghini dealerships are in Greensboro, N.C., and Palmyra, N.J. The U.S. accounts for 39 percent of Lamborghini’s worldwide sales, which totaled 2,406 cars last year.

Ashe says his dealership typically sells two to three new cars a month. New-car prices for Lamborghinis range from $200,000 to nearly $400,000.  Customers typically are successful entrepreneurs and professionals who see buying a Lamborghini as a “personal reward,“ Ashe says.
