What has been your most memorable business valuation/litigation case?
“One case that stands out started with a civil trial and was followed by a criminal trial. The case involved a business entrepreneur who had defrauded a city and a number of contractors/suppliers. In the first trial, I was hired by the commonwealth’s attorney and for the second trial by the Department of Justice. Each case involved jury trials where I provided expert testimony regarding valuation issues, the tracing of monies and forensic analysis dealing with the financial fraud. The defendant was found guilty, required to make restitution and sentenced to federal prison.”
