Greenbrier plans to acquire Wintergreen
May 30, 2012 1:34 PMThe Wintergreen Partners Inc. board of directors has approved an agreement for the owners of West Virginia’s Greenbrier Resort to acquire for Wintergreen Resort in Nelson County.
The Associated Press reported that the acquisition will be presented to Wintergreen’s Class A Equity members on June 24 for approval. The deal is expected to close prior to June 30.
Wintergreen has experienced financial trouble this year due to the mild winter, a $3 million line of credit loss with Bank of America and a state tax-credit dispute
