General Dynamics to upgrade FAA communications
March 10, 2010 10:02 AMGeneral Dynamics has received a $228 million contract to modernize the Federal Aviation Administration’s communications system.
The contact, valued over 10 years, will update the FAA’s Administrative Voice Enterprise Services (FAVES) program.
General Dynamics Information Technology will upgrade administrative telephony systems and provide new telephony systems.
The system will be based on Voice-over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and IP telephone technologies.
