General Dynamics Information Technology has received a $146.2 million contract to implement information technology at the Washington Headquarters Services’ new headquarters at the Mark Center in Alexandria.
The Fairfax-based subsidiary of General Dynamics received the three-year contract under the Base Realignment and Closure Act, which mandated that the Washington Headquarters Services’ 11 divisions be consolidated at the Mark Center, a $1.1 billion, 1.7-million-square-foot building. Currently its offices are located throughout the Washington, D.C. region.
General Dynamics will design, engineer and implement IT infrastructure at the Mark Center and be responsible for moving users and equipment to the facility without interrupting operations.
