General Assembly approves bond package

The General Assembly approved a $1.5 billion bond package on Wednesday that will fund 75 construction projects for higher education, parks, state offices and mental health facilities.

The projects include a wide range of renovations and new buildings for schools across Virginia, including a new medical school facility and research institute in Roanoke. Virginia Tech and the Carilion Clinic are partnering to open the facility.
