Fresh salad franchise to locate in Richmond
September 29, 2010 11:59 AMIt won’t be long before Richmond residents can pick up a fresh salad as easily as grabbing a burger at a fast food chain. Saladworks, the country’s first and largest fresh-tossed salad franchise, will open a location in Richmond in 2011.
The Pa.-based company announced an agreement Wednesday with two local businessmen, Kevin Long and Travis Miller, to open a franchise as part of an ongoing expansion across the country. The company already operates 100 locations in 11 states and has more than 60 other units in development.
Saladworks offers a menu of salads, including some that average less than 300 calories, soups and sandwiches.
