DRV LLC and Markel-Eagle Partners LLC have closed on a deal to buy Deep Run III in Henrico County for $12.4 million. The 382,570-foot, vacant office building at 9954 Mayland Drive used to serve as part of the headquarters complex for the now defunct Circuit City Stores Inc. It’s the second of two Circuit City buildings to be purchased by a local ownership group this year.
The new owners plan to renovate Deep Run III back to Class A standards, which will include a fitness facility and food services. Mark Douglas of Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer represented the buyers, while CB Richard Ellis represented the seller, Bank of America NA. Douglas has been named the exclusive leasing agent for the property. Located at Gaskins Road and Interstate 64, the building was originally constructed in 1997.
