Fiorucci Foods has new name after change in ownership
October 15, 2012 2:47 PMChesterfield County-based Fiorucci Foods Inc., a specialty meats company, has changed its name to Campofrio Food Group America.
The name was changed to reflect new ownership. Fiorucci Foods became part of part of the Campofrio Food Group last year.
The company’s headquarters will remain in southern Chesterfield.
Founded in 1850, Fiorucci is one of the leading players in the Italian processed meats industry. The firm started operations in the U.S. in 1986, and today has the widest distribution of any Italian specialty meats brand in the U.S.
The Campofrio Food Group SA, headquartered in Madrid, Spain, is the largest maker of processed meats in Europe. It includes seven interdependent companies.
