FinishSafe to offer athletes free medical tags
April 08, 2011 10:52 AMA Portsmouth company is offering 1 million free “Finish Tags” to athletes, complete with their medical information.
The lightweight tags can be attached to athletes’ gear and include personal medical information. This gives emergency and medical personnel the ability to access an injured athlete’s medical information with a phone, computer, smartphone app or text message.
“We are the national standard for medical information access, so we fell an obligation to share our service with marathons, races and other competitions to protect athletes during their events,” FinishSafe President James Ramsey said in a statement.
