Falls Church contractor opens new office in Colorado
January 22, 2012 5:46 PM

HITT Contracting Inc. in Falls Church, one of the largest general contractors in the U.S, has opened a new office in Golden, Colo., as part of plans for growth during the company’s 75th anniversary year.
The company’s Colorado office will provide construction services for corporate interiors, law firms, hospitality, healthcare, federal, and commercial mixed-use projects. Golden is the sixth U.S. office opened by HITT,  which earned revenues of more than $920 million last year.

“Establishing a permanent presence in the mid-West and Western U.S. regions are key strategic components to our growth,” co-President Brett Hit said in a statement. “We’re bullish on the markets in those areas and see more opportunities down the road.”

Kevin Ott, a 25-year industry veteran, is the director for the new location. During the past two decades, he led construction teams that built some of Colorado’s most notable projects, including the Denver Four Seasons Hotel. HITT Contracting Inc. already has a list of clients in the state, building several projects for national clients including Nextel, SAIC, General Dynamics and Banana Republic. Currently the company is nearing completion of a 120,000 square-foot data center for a federal agency in the Denver region. Besides Colorado, the company has offices in Washington, D.C, Atlanta, Charleston, Denver, South Florida, and Baltimore.
