The Fairfax County Economic Development Authority (FCEDA) worked with 31 businesses during the second quarter on projects that it says will generate 783 jobs.
Most of companies were involved in information technology or professional services sectors. Eight were foreign-owned firms.
The list includes:
• Invertix Corp., which handles communications engineering issues, is adding 106 jobs;
• Safety Technologies Inc., which develops products to prevent fuel storage tank explosions and fires, is creating 15 jobs at its Fairfax headquarters and 46 manufacturing jobs in Lunenburg County;
• Securitas, a Swedish security company specializing in mobile security and investigation services, is creating 35 jobs; and,
• TCAssociates, Inc., a technology and administrative services company, is adding 100 jobs.
