Dow Falls Below 10,000 on Credit Fears in Europe

Wall Street stumbled again on Monday as the banking crisis expanded its grip on the world economy, sending stocks sharply lower around the world and pushing oil prices below $90 for the first time since February.

The Dow Jones industrial average lost more than 300 points in early trading, falling below 10,000 for the first time since 2004. (The New York Times)
