Dominion purchases power station development project
March 05, 2008 9:00 AM

Dominion has purchased a 600-megawatt power station development project in Warren County.

The power company bought development of the natural-gas fired plant from Competitive Power Ventures, a Silver Spring, Md.-based power company. The project already has all necessary permits, but still requires regulatory approvals.

The companies did not disclose the plant’s purchase price.

Dominion said the deal allowed the company to move toward its goal of meeting the estimated demand of 4,000 more megawatts over the next decade.

Once open, the station will employ 20 people.
