The U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency has included seven Virginia firms in an information technology contract worth up to $6.6 billion.

The Solutions for the Information Technology Enterprise (SITE) contract is expected to help the DIA improve its acquisition process. It will simplify purchase requests, provide better reporting capability, improve contracting performance and data integrity for the Defense Intelligence Enterprise and the intelligence community.

A total of 11 companies are included in the contract. Four Virginia companies are among the large firms chosen for the contract, including BAE Systems Information Technology Inc. in McLean; General Dynamics Information Technology Inc. of Fairfax; Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) of McLean; and SRA International of Fairfax. Northrop Grumman Corp., which is moving its headquarters to Virginia next year, is also under the contract.

The smaller firms include Blue Canopy Fed Group LLC of Reston, CenTauri Solutions LLC in Alexandria, and Enterprise Information Services in Vienna.

The SITE contract will replace multiple awards for DIA’s Department of Defense Intelligence Information System Integration and Engineering Support Contracts (DIESCON3) and the Air Force’s Intelligence Information, Command and Control, Equipment and Enhancements (ICE2) single-award contract program.
