Cushman & Wakefield and CBRE expand operations in Virginia

Cushman & Wakefield has expanded its Mid-Atlantic Valuation & Advisory operations with the opening of a new office in Hampton Roads. It will allow the firm to offer appraisal and advisory related services from four regional locations including Hampton Roads, Washington, D.C., Baltimore and Richmond.

“We believe there is a significant amount of growth potential for occupier and investor clients in the Hampton Roads market. This new location allows us to more effectively meet client needs and requirements at the local level,” Senior Director Carolyn Kapusta, assigned to lead Cushman & Wakefield’s operations in Hampton Roads, said in a statement.

Last year the company’s mid-Atlantic team completed more than 1,300 assignments with a combined market value of more than $40 billion throughout Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia and Washington,  D.C. Cushman & Wakefield’s appraisers are classified by product type offering valuation and advisory expertise in office, multifamily, retail, industrial, hotel, self-storage, data center, automobile related, medical office and golf.

Cushman & Wakefield’s Alliance partner, Richmond-based Thalhimer, has offices in Virginia Beach and Newport News.  President Lee Warfield,  said, “We welcome the expanded valuation and advisory services in Hampton Roads and look forward to providing these additional services to our clients.”

Meanwhile, in Richmond, CBRE is introducing a new Private Capital Group (PCG) operation. Craige Pelouze, senior vice president, and Martin Blum, vice president, will provide advisory services to private real estate investors, owners and developers. Specializing in commercial assets valued between $1 million and $25 million, CBRE’s PCG is a leader in this market niche. Clients typically include individuals and partnerships, developers, REITs and banks and servicers among others.

Comprised of more than 250 professionals, the Private Capital Group serves more than 50 markets across the country. As part of CBRE Capital Markets, the Private Capital Group also offers an integrated approach to advising clients through expertise in both debt and equity finance and investment services.
