CSC launches remote network access for government employees
March 10, 2010 10:03 AM

Falls Church-based CSC announced Wednesday that it has launched a secure remote network connection for government employees.

The Common Access Card Enabled Remote Access Solution allows employees to access government networks from non-government computers.

The access allows government employees to connect to the network securely.

“Telework offers significant benefits to employers and employees, and it presents opportunities to reduce the environmental impact of car travel; however, security is paramount for employers,” James W. Sheaffer, president of CSC’s North American Public Sector said in a statement. “CSC’s CE-RAS gives clients in the private and public sectors a telework solution that is secure and flexible.”

The CE-RAS is being usecd in the Office of Defense, Office of the Director, Cost Assessment and Program Evaluation.
