What has been your most memorable case?
“In the late 1990s, I was assigned to El Paso, Texas, to prosecute members of the Juarez drug cartel. I lived a mile from the border and could see the tracks of smugglers in the desert near my house. The case resulted in the convictions of kingpins, money couriers and even a retired couple from the Midwest who for years had transported hundreds of kilograms of cocaine for the cartel in their RV without detection.”
