Credit crunch forces Landmark to take properties off the market, except for the Pilot
October 30, 2008 9:40 AMThe credit market turmoil has forced Landmark Communications to pull all of its properties off the market except for The Virginian-Pilot.
Landmark’s vice chairman told the Pilot that the company is in discussions with a potential buyer for the Pilot and its related properties, but did not identify the buyer or a timeframe for a deal.
Landmark will suspend the sale of most of its other businesses, including Dominion Enterprises. Apparently, interested buyers could not secure financing in the current credit crunch. (The Virginian-Pilot)
