Cobb Theatres opened a new 12-screen cinema Friday at the Village at Leesburg. Besides multi screens, Cobb Village 12 Cinemas will offer 1,800 seats, the latest in cinema technology, expanded concessions and a ar and grill with a wine list and cocktails. The new theater is located on two levels covering 52,000 square feet and will employ 90 people. Besides 3-D digital technology, three VIP auditoriums are equipped with leather rocking chairs designed with extra leg room.
“This location incorporates the newest technology with our modern next-generation design. We’re excited to bring the Cobb standards of guest experience and service to discerning moviegoers in this community,“ Jeremy Welman, chief operating officer for Cobb Theatres, said in a statement. The complex is located at 1600 Village Market Blvd. SE, behind the Wegmans grocery store.
Based in Birmingham, Ala., Cobb Theatres operates 234 screens at 19 locations throughout the Southeast. It also operates CineBistro, a dinner-and-a-movie concept, which has locations in Richmond.and Hampton.
