During the first quarter, the Hampton Roads office of CB Richard Ellis reported its most successful office leasing quarter in history. The office completed 106 new and renewed leases, totaling 1.8 million square feet of space for a total volume of more than $103 million.
The biggest deal was for 385,320 square feet in the Virginia Regional Commerce Park in Suffolk. The new lease was for an undisclosed logistics company whose name CB Richard Ellis said it could not disclose due to client confidentiality. Senior Vice President Ashton Williamson brokered the transaction.
Other deals included a renewal of 119,761 square feet in the Main Street Tower in Norfolk and 47,508 square feet for a lease renewal and expansion in the city’s Dominion Tower. In Virginia Beach, in a lease renewal/expansion, a client leased 23,990 square feet in One Columbus Center. At Armada Hoffler Tower in Virginia Beach, a new tenant took 23,267 square feet.
“After a strong finish to 2010, we were uncertain how 2011 would begin,” Scott Adams, regional president for CB Hampton Roads, said in a statement. “We are extremely pleased to begin 2011 with such a fast start but realize we still have a tremendous amount of work to do to address all of our clients’ needs.”
