A California eatery known for having the largest selection of draft beer has announced plans to open its first Virginia location at Virginia Beach’s Town Center this fall.
Yard House, headquartered in Irvine, Calif., is investing $5 million in capital improvement and training to open its Virginia Beach restaurant, which will create 200 new jobs. The new location is expected to generate between $8 and $9 million a year in revenue, according to a company statement.
Currently, Yard House has 28 locations in the U.S. and one in Hawaii. Expansion plans for 2011 include three new restaurants on the East Coast: Westchester County, New York and Boston will join Virginia Beach as new Yard House sites.
