Café International buys former C. P. Dean & Co. building
August 20, 2012 11:10 AM

Café International has purchased a building at 3001 Cutshaw Ave. in Richmond for $550,000. Until last March, it served as the home of C. P. Dean & Co.  for 44 years.

The new owner is renovating the 15,561-square-foot building near Broad Street so it can operate Mosaic Catering from the location.  The plan is to return the building, built in the late 1920s to 1930s, to its original brick-faced front.

C. P. Dean, a local billards company, moved from the site in March to Henrico County. At its inception, the building’s tenant was PET Dairy Products Co.

Rob Dirom, a first vice president at CBRE|Richmond,  represented the buyer in the transaction.
