CACI International boosts net income 26 percent
January 28, 2010 10:13 AM

An increase in intelligence and defense businesses boosted Arlington-based CACI International’s second-quarter income 26 percent

The information technology company reported a $26.1 million profit for the quarter that ended Dec. 31. The company’s revenue grew 15.5 percent to $776.7 million, compared with $672.5 million the same quarter last year.

CEO Paul Cofoni attributed the increases to the company’s focus on services that support well-funded national security initiatives and a significantly lower tax rate.

CACI received contract awards worth $561 million during the second quarter.

The company also raised its expectations for its fiscal year. The company expects a profit of $101 million to $107.1 million for the year. Its previous guidance had estimated that sales would fall between $99.5 million to $105.6
