Babcock & Wilcox Technical Services Group Inc. is part of a three-member team chosen for environmental clean up of the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant near Paducah, Kentucky.
The U.S. Department of Energy awarded a team consisting of LATA Environmental Services of Kentucky, S.M. Stoller and B&W the $285 million contract. A B&W spokesman would not disclose its share of the contract. The five-year contract will begin in July.
The Paducah remediation project will include supporting nuclear materials management and nuclear safety programs, as well as facility transition and material disposal.
