IT contractor Booz Allen Hamilton has received regulatory approval to operate in Kuwait.
The announcement comes shortly after the McLean-based company announced approval to operate in Qatar. The company has plans to expand in the Middle East and North Africa. The company recently opened a headquarters office in Abu Dhabi.
Booz Allen said it will seek government and commercial clients for information technology, cyber security, transportation and other infrastructure.
“Kuwait is taking significant steps toward establishing itself a regional center of excellence in the areas of energy, finance and trade. Additionally, the government is supporting infrastructure projects and social programs designed to drive new [foreign direct investment] into the country and streamline global trade,” Booz Allen Senior Vice President Don Pressley said in a statement. “To support these ambitions, Booz Allen Hamilton recognizes that robust ICT capacities and Security expertise will play a key role in creating an environment that is primed for growth, sustainability and stability. Our strategic approach will be tailored to these specific needs and supported by our global expertise.”
