Best Brakes picks Suffolk for first East Coast location
- August 1, 2011
Best Brakes has leased 42,500 square feet of space in Suffolk for its first distribution center on the East Coast. The Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.-based company is a full-line brake rotor and drum supplier that serves many segments of the automotive industry.
“Best Brakes is very excited about the opening of our Virginia distribution center. It enables us to serve our East Coast customers with better service and much faster turn-around times of their orders which in turn will help grow our sales in the Eastern states,” Randy Prince, the company’s general manager, said in a statement.
The space at 5401 Virginia Regional Drive was selected after a review of several sites.
“We were given a wide choice of buildings to look at before we decided on Virginia Regional Commerce Park with its accessibility to the port and major highways …” Prince said.
Stephanie Sanker and Bill Overman of S. L. Nusbaum Realty Co. in Norfolk represented Best Brakes in the transaction. Nusbaum is one of Virginia’s largest real estate firms. It manages more than 5.3 million square feet of retail space, 18,000 apartment units and 2 million square feet of office and industrial properties.
