McLean-based Avalon Global Solutions formed a joint venture with GPXS Services of Munich, Germany, to manage advanced BlackBerry and smartphone services.

Scott Perry, most recently president of GPXS, will become president of the joint venture — Avalon Advanced Mobility Solutions Inc. (AAMS).

AAMS will become the exclusive reseller of GPXS Services AG in the North American marketplace.
