Automotive parts supplier Federal-Mogul Corp. plans to add production lines at its 275,000-square-foot facility in Blacksburg Industrial Park, creating 50 new jobs.
Federal-Mogul, based in Southfield, Mich., is a global supplier of powertrain and safety solutions for equipment manufacturers.
“The planned new equipment and manufacturing capacity expansion at our Blacksburg facility, together with our excellent work force, will enable Federal-Mogul to produce and deliver more of our market-leading engine bearings to major auto manufacturers and will support the company’s strategy for sustainable global profitable growth,” Brian Thrush, plant manager of Federal-Mogul Blacksburg, said in a statement.
Federal-Mogul employs about 400 people its Blacksburg facility.
