AREVA, Northrop Grumman partnership to create 540 jobs in Newport News
October 23, 2008 4:15 PMNuclear energy leader AREVA and Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding are creating a $364 million partnership in Newport News that should create 540 new jobs.
AREVA NEWPORT NEWS LLC will manufacture equipment and provide engineering services for the nuclear industry.
Northrop Grumman operates a shipyard in Newport News while Lynchburg is home to the North American headquarters of AREVA NP, a designer and builder of nuclear power plants.
