NewRiver Bank, a branch of Roanoke-based HomeTown Bank, has broken ground on a new 9,000-square-foot office in Christiansburg to meet the growing needs of customers in the New River Valley.
“We wanted a branch that would allow us to grow with our customers in the New River Valley,” Tommy Loflin, president of NewRiver Bank, said in a statement. “Our new building will offer a more convenient, comfortable environment for NewRiver Bank customers.”
NewRiver Bank employs 11 people and serves more than 1,600 customers in the New River Valley.
J.M. Turner & Co. General Contractors will build the branch based on a Gilliam Katz design and architecture by Rife & Wood Architects. NewRiver Bank, currently located at 1540 Roanoke Street, will move to its new location at 2950 Market St. in the late summer of 2013.
HomeTown Bank offers a full range of banking services to small and medium-size businesses, real estate investors and developers, and private investors. The bank serves the Roanoke and New River Valleys and Smith Mountain Lake through five branches and a loan production office.
