Air travel tickets up 10 percent in January
February 10, 2012 5:28 AMThe value of airline travel booked through travel agents rose 10.7 percent in January, according to Arlington-based ARC, a financial settlement firm serving the travel industry.
The value of January 2012 ticket sales was $7.3 billion, compared with $6.6 billion in 2011 and $5.9 billion in 2010, according to ARC.
Ticket transactions were up 3.2 percent over January 2011, and 5.4 percent above January 2010.
