Meet in the cultural center of Hampton Roads

Situated in the heart of the mid-Atlantic coastal region, Norfolk is a city known for its scenic waterways, outdoor adventure, thriving port, cutting-edge restaurants, historic sites, diverse cultural and entertainment opportunities and enviably moderate climate.

With the Elizabeth River and Chesapeake Bay on its borders, it is no surprise that Norfolk is home to a wide array of water sports and boating trips. Water excursions include the American Rover, a tall ship cruise where guests can lend a hand with the sails; Victory Rover, offering a behind-the-scenes look at Naval Station Norfolk, and Spirit of Norfolk, a luxury dinner cruise. SailTime Virginia offers a weekend sailing immersion class.

A new adventure for visitors interested in exploring Norfolk’s outdoors is Segway Tours.

Norfolk is the ideal place to hold a meeting, and it’s so convenient that the revitalized downtown waterfront has become known as the “Waterside Convention Connection.” The area includes more than 1,200 hotel rooms, 55 meeting rooms and 121,000 square feet of convention space. Within 12 square blocks of downtown, guests can find an energetic dining and theater district and many merchants.

The alliance includes The Waterside Convention Center and the Norfolk Waterside Marriott, the Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel, the Radisson Hotel Norfolk, Waterside Festival Marketplace and Norfolk Scope, an arena located just blocks away with an additional 85,000 square feet of meeting space.

Norfolk also offers many unique meeting facilities to put on a memorable event, including cruising on Schooner Virginia or the Spirit of Norfolk. The city also offers meeting space at the Chrysler Hall Performing Arts Theater, a modern setting in Fahrenheit, the restored Granby Theater that was built in 1915, the Norfolk Botanical Garden and the Pagoda & Oriental Garden. It is also possible to combine meeting space with a professional sports outing at Norfolk Scope, home of the Norfolk Admirals hockey team, and Harbor Park, where the Norfolk Tides play baseball.
