Meet in Charlottesville’s charm

Charlottesville offers visitors a wide range of natural and historic gems. The area’s “big five” historic sites include Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello and University of Virginia, James Monroe’s Ash-Lawn Highland, Historic Court Square and Michie Tavern, which was built in 1784.

Tucked in the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Charlottesville offers outdoor hiking, fishing, tubing and canoeing adventures, plenty of shopping and dining options, including a variety of top local restaurants on the downtown mall. The region also includes a large number of wineries, allowing visitors to taste local wines. The region gives meeting planners a chance to meet away from everyday chaos, but it is convenient to Virginia’s major cities. It is an hour’s drive from Richmond and just two hours from Washington, D.C.
