Escape to the ‘Crossroads of the Blue Ridge’

If you want your meeting delegates to truly get away from it all, Wytheville is your ideal meeting setting. The town is set in the foothills of the stunning Blue Ridge Mountains, offering an array of activities for outdoor enthusiasts, and a historic town with plenty of historic homes, and local shops and restaurants to explore.
Wytheville’s striking scenery makes it the perfect area for hiking, fishing, horseback riding and scenic drives. Big Walker Lookout is the perfect spot to soak up the scenery of the Blue Ridge. Visitors can visit the top of the 3,525-foot tower and see five states on clear days.
Popular local attractions include Field of Flowers, where visitors can cut their own flowers to bring home in a mason jar, the Fort Chiswell Animal Park, where visitors can go on a “safari” to see a variety of animals, the Edith Bolling Wilson Birthplace Museum, local vineyards and the Wohlfahrt Haus Dinner Theatre.
Conveniently located at the intersections of Interstates 77 and 81, Wytheville is often known as the “Crossroads of the Blue Ridge” or the “Hub of Southwest Virginia.” Its location makes it easy to get to, but you’ll feel like you’ve escaped from it all in its serene setting.
