The National Capital Area chapter of the Financial Planning Association has named Steve Starnes, financial officer of McLean-based The Monitor Group Inc., as 2012 Planner of the Year.
The Monitor Group is Northern Virginia’s largest independent, fee-only wealth management firm, managing more than $500 million in assets.
