Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) will design an IT network infrastructure for the U.S. State Department under a task order that could be worth as much as $2.5 billion if all options are exercised.
The award, called Vanguard 2, has a one-year base period of performance and nine one-year options. SAIC will engineer, design, secure, operate and maintain the Department’s IT network infrastructure for the Bureau of Information Resource Management (IRM).
IRM provides IT infrastructure, systems and services for the Department’s foreign policy missions. Under the task order, SAIC will serve as the lead systems integrator and business partner for all Vanguard 2 components. The McLean-based company will assist in streamlining services, realizing economies of scale and providing improved service delivery.
