James P. Bankoff, the chairman and CEO of Vox Media Inc., has been named to the board of directors at Arlington-based Rosetta Stone Inc.
Rosetta Stone is a major provider of technology-based language-learning solutions.
With Bankoff’s election, the Rosetta Stone board has expanded to 11 members, nine of which are independent directors.
Bankoff has headed Washington, D.C.-based Vox Media since January 2008.
Before joining the company, Bankoff worked for Providence Equity Partners and AOL.
